| About the Band
Lead Guitar: Nick Dodd At first a failed dream, the band is now maturing and developing it's own sound, with a home studio in Nick's uptown New Westminster apartment. The name for the band came about early in music exploration by Nick and Kenny (best friends), coming directly from a Chinese Zodiac (Year of the Dragon) read in a small restaurant that no longer exists in New Westminster, which started its second line with: "You are nobody's fool". Both band members being Year of the Dragon, this is the root of the band's name. Nick (lead guitar/lead vocals) is a self-taught guitar player, with his first guitar being a late 70's Citation II 12 String acoustic guitar, first started singing at about 14 years old, writing his all of his own music. Today the only music played by the band is still a work of it's own talent, being either written entirely by Nick, or co-written with Kenny (Bass/Vocals). Nick's initial inspirations came from Avril Lavigne, the means to which he started playing guitar and in fact singing his own songs and not those written by others. Kenny is a more Punk inspired individual adding just enough edge to the music as well as vocals with his screaming (and occasional singing). The music tastes of Kenny are not overlooked by Nick, as it was Kenny that first got Nick into the bands overall biggest inspiration: Alexisonfire-A band they have in fact met, talked to, got gifts directly from, and seen in concert/show countless times. Today, the band is very confident and growing, with practices a minimum of 3 days a week in Nick's Home Studio. The band is in Active search of a drummer and has intentions of acquiring a higher-end Roland TD-4KX to the instruments they already have. A plan intended to gain interest in possible drummers. |
